The cycling national team has begun serious preparations for the 2028 Olympics, conducting tests for cyclists in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah under the guidance of the head coach of the national teams Richard Vullz. "There is a great need and keen desire for the athletes to regularly attend training camps and gatherings after their successful performances, achieved by national teams at various competitions lately, and also after the achievement of significant results at the continental level, the presence of athletes in the Emirati team for professionals, all these factors that have changed the opinions of many regarding achieving ambitious goals and participation in the 2028 Olympics," said the president of the Federation of Cycling Mansur Buaseiba. "The national team coach began his work by changing the representation of athletes in the sport and what they need to do to remain in good shape as long as possible, through the quality of training, quick recovery after daily training sessions and competitions, as well as the importance of knowing each athlete's needs in terms of time, diet, types of food, drinks, and everything that concerns the athlete during the time of their training," Buaseiba added.

The composition of the national team includes the head coach from Canada Richard Vullz, his assistant Badr, and also athletes: Ahmed al-Mansoori, Mohammed al-Ulaidi, Mohammed Makhrab, Abdallah al-Hamadi, Hamad al-Mehiri, Yusuf Ameri, Rashid Suwaidan, and Abdulaziz al-Hadzhari.

The cycling team began its international gathering in Spain last week under the guidance of the head coach Richard Vullz and is undergoing 12 days of preparation for the upcoming tournaments. The Federation council seeks to create a large pool of athletes for successful participation in continental and local competitions.
